What
is DriveZebra.com?
DriveZebra.com is a service committed to helping
keep your driving teenager safe and alive while
on the road. We offer a "How's my
Driving?" program which can help reduce
accidents and traffic fatalities for
teens. Our Teen Driver Monitoring System is a
way for you to help train your teen to be a
better and safer driver.
Why should I
join your program?
To help prevent you from experiencing the
unimaginable grief of losing a child in a
traffic accident. Our program was created to
reduce dangerous driving behavior and create
good driving habits during your teen’s first
years of driving (15 to 18 years of age). The
National Institute of Health’s research shows
that the region of the brain that inhibits risky
behavior is not fully formed until the age of
25. This means that most teenagers are more
likely to take dangerous chances and participate
in risky driving behavior while behind the
wheel. This type of behavior is what leads to
tragic accidents and loss of life. Knowing that
they can be reported to you for poor or
dangerous driving behavior, they are less likely
to take such chances—they won’t want to face
your consequences and lose their driving
privileges. Keeping your teen alive is our
main goal, but reducing risky behavior can also
mean less chance of traffic accidents and costly
tickets. This can allow you to keep your teen’s
insurance premiums from skyrocketing.
How does your
Teen Driver Monitoring System work?
Our one year Teen Driver Safety program is as
easy as 1,2,3!
1)
You place our “How’s my driving?” decal on your
teens car. Our program works just like the
service trucking companies use to reduce
accidents and keep their truck drivers safe.
Each decal has a unique ID number.
2)
Drivers on the road can monitor your teen’s
driving. If it is observed that your teen is
exhibiting poor or dangerous driving behavior,
they can report it to you via our website. Your
teen will know that they can be reported to you
at any time for any driving infraction. This
factor alone will likely have them taking fewer
chances and being more attentive while they
drive so they won’t be reported to you and face
your wrath. Therefore, most teens on our
program will likely monitor their own driving
behavior!
3)
If someone does file a Driver Incident Report,
only you will receive the report. You’ll
receive this report immediately via email. The
Driver Incident Report will tell you what
driving infractions were witnessed on what day,
time, location, etc. When you receive this
report, you can deal directly with your teen.
Wouldn’t you prefer this rather than being
contacted by the police or paramedics?
In addition to the Monitoring program, you will
receive a Safe Driver Basics guide to sit down
and review with your teen. This guide contains
driving fundamentals that could very well save
their life. You’ll also receive a Parent/Teen
contract in which your teen will agree to be on
the program for one year, drive safely and
adhere to traffic safety rules, in exchange for
the privilege of driving.
What does your decal look like?

Our decal is very easy to read and is also night
reflective, which means it shows up brightly lit
when hit with headlights at night. Most bumper
stickers are small and difficult to read. Our
decal is larger (6 x 10 inches) which makes it
very easy to read.
Don’t Driver Education classes help reduce teen
accidents?
Driver Education classes are a great way for
your teen to learn the fundamentals of driving.
We highly recommend these classes. Since your
teen will still have a physiological inability
to control risk and little driving experience,
our "How's my driving?" program can help keep
your teen safe after they complete their Driver
Education instruction. Our program, coupled with
formal training, can exponentially increase your
teen's chances of staying safe and potentially
reduce their chances of auto accidents and
tickets.
My teen is a good/smart
kid. I trust him/her. Why would I need this
service?
The National Institute of Health reports that
the part of a person's brain that controls risk
is not fully developed until about the age of
25. This means that even 'good' or 'smart' or
'trustworthy' teens can still take dangerous and
unnecessary risks on the road. They
physiologically do not possess the ability to
understand the consequences of their actions. It
is a good thing to trust your teen, but he or
she is still very capable of taking dangerous
chances that can lead to tragedy on the road.
What if my teen is too
embarrassed to have this decal on their car?
Although it will likely not be 'cool' to have
our "How's my Driving?" decal on their car, keep
in mind our program is designed to keep your
teen safe and alive during their first years of
driving. You as the parent make the decision to
keep them safe. We recommend that you reward
your teen at the end of our one-year program by
taking the decal off and showing them your
appreciation for cooperating. You can buy them a
set of rims or reward them in some other way.
Is my or my
teen’s personal information accessible on your
website?
Absolutely not! When someone files a report on
our website, the only thing they’ll see is a
blank Incident Report page. They will never
know who you are or anything else about you.
They simply fill out a Driver Incident Report at
our website and include the ID number from your
teen’s decal. When the incident report is
submitted, we’ll email you the information
immediately so you can help your teen modify
their driving behavior.
How much is it
to join your program?
Our "How's my Driving?" program can help keep
your driving teen safer for one year for only $8
per month, payable in full when you join. Other
drivers can report your teen's driving behavior
